2. I got a lot of chores done.

3. I organized 4 1/2 years worth of photos.  I still have 12 years to go!

1) I am happy to see this thread make its way to the top of the list, once again.
2) I feel like I am starting to make friends, and not just acquaintances, at the new school where I work.
3) I haven't said much about this, other than here, but I have been really, REALLY struggling to make it financially, until I get my first paycheck at my new job (which isn't until October 1st). I don't know if New Guy mentioned to his mom that I am struggling (which I doubt), or if she just thought that having to go so long without a paycheck might be hard (more likely); but she just did the nicest thing for me. New Guy sent me a text today around lunchtime today, telling me his mom had bought me a $50 gift card for the local grocery store. I cannot tell you how touched I am or what a blessing it was to get the gift card.

Thank you, my dearest Kenneth, for loving me and for giving me the best 13 years of my life.

2.  Great mentors, teachers, and youth leaders for my boys.
3.  A safety net of friends and family who constantly amaze me with their kindness.

1. Hearing 8 and 9 year olds talk about their love for God, family, and friends today while I helped deliver their bible lesson was super sweet.

2. Laughter and great conversation with family during lunch.

3. Going to see a comedian with a guy friend tonight. I'm looking forward to it!

3 good things at 7 this morning and now 3 more at 5.

1.  Church was just what I needed to hear today.
2.  Boys had friends over after church and I love my kids friends.
3.  Parents came over with a surprise dinner prepared for tonight.

Today is my 2 year Sadiversary, I need to focus on some positives because the negatives are all too obvious.

1. A beautiful, sunny early fall day

2. Nice lunch at one of Tim's favorite local places with his family after Mass.

3. Several people remembering the significance of the day in special ways
You will forever be my always.

Tis a tough day for me as I'm having to take on the responsibility of making major medical decisions for my grandmother's care and flying out to Malaysia all of a sudden.  It's also widow bestie's sadniversary this week.  So to keep my spirits up:

1) At least I'm old enough and financially stable enough to be able to go and see my grandmother
2) I got a new mindfulness colouring book and I find it really calming
3) I have a widow bestie and a whole widowed community who are more loyal than I could ever have hoped for.  Thank you

1) My new dog, who I am already in a codependent relationship with
2) Having the financial means to be stable, pay bills, and afford unnecessary starbucks drinks & pedicures when I am down
3) My career, and the fact that it still gives me some pleasure

When I started this thread on the other forums years ago now it really helped my through those early tough days. Life has been unbelievably tough again this year and fighting to remain afloat has become a very difficult battle. I am still fighting though and so one of my weapons is going to be returning to this thread and trying to be grateful again for three things each day for a little while. I know I have much to be thankful for.

1. The tree is up, the presents bought and wrapped, the food shopping ordered. Christmas is pretty much sorted.

2. Three friends reached out to me today as they knew I was struggling. I am so very grateful to those who have not given up on me.

3. I made myself roasted cauliflower this evening and it was delicious.

Thank you Helen for bumping up this thread.
1.  First good thing today is seeing this thread and stopping the busyness and reflecting on what can I contribute.
2.  Attended church with my family this morning and allowed by heart to be open to God's word and reliving the birth of Jesus.
3.  Gifts are bought and wrapped, cookies and candy made, and my credit card balance is $0.

1. Seeing Helen posting again! (I'm sorry to hear things have been so challenging but I'm glad you're here and looking for some positives)

2. My tree and decorations are looking so pretty and I am really enjoying them this year

3. 2 weeks off from classes
You will forever be my always.

2) NG and I exchanged Christmas gifts this evening and we both felt very special
3) the prosecco I had at my wedding is on offer in the supermarket. I like to think it's wife little Christmas treat to me.
