  1. Oh, TooSoon. As M's Mom and health advocate/caregiver, please take care of yourself, as well. ((hugs))
  2. I am so very sorry, lmsmdm. My wishes and prayers are for declaration of brain death, with his peaceful passing, and that his loss may provide the gift of life to others through organ donation. ((hugs))
  3. In addition to getting a local realtor who has experience with your neighborhood and school district, it's worth it to hire a Seller's home inspector. When selling my parent's home, which I thought was a "fixer-upper", the inspector was able to narrow down the repairs which were absolutely needed for safety reasons. My parents' home was in the Lehigh Valley, and it was a "seller's market". We made only those required repairs & updates, and offered a 1 year home warranty. We had an offer within one week. Good luck with your decision.
  4. Sending love to you and your precious son.
  5. (G) Before you depart, could you fill out an absentee ballot or 2 or 99? We need more flaming liberal votes in these parts. Thanks
  6. Michael, I am so very sorry for your loss. (hugs)
  7. Please count me in! I'd be happy to bring any food, beverage, chair/ tables, etc.
  8. Tight ((hugs)), to you, my friend. I wish you peace and comfort as your and your children remember T.
  9. I'd love to meet up in the Lehigh Valley somewhere. Saturdays are best for me. (since the Steelers will be in the playoffs Sunday 1/17, 1/24, and the Super Bowl 2/7 ;D)
  10. I'm up for it - would prefer a weekend in mid-January, when all the holidays are over... I loved your 'bago testimonial, and was so pleased to meet you and all your beautiful children @ TooSoon's 'bago.
  11. I'm so very happy for him, and for his wonderful Mom! "He" did it, and "we" did it, describes those feelings of pride in your family's accomplishments.
  12. Please count me in! I may bring 1 or 2 non-board wids with me.
  13. Multiple myeloma. Six weeks after diagnosis, while planning for an autologous stem cell transplant, he got a catastrophic HSV1 encephalitis. (from viral conjunctivitis). Severe brain injury and dementia resulted, so no stem cell transplant... He lived 3.5 years from the date of his diagnosis. Sigh.
  14. Hi Sugarbell, I'd be interested in a WV outdoors adventure "bago" in August. I can drive a carpool from the Phila suburbs, for anyone else who may want to come.. Great suggestion for a get-together! (the widda previously known as "rootless")
