Song's that bring a tear.

There are so many that I could list but last night I happened upon a Scotty McCreery video of him singing Garth Brook's "The Dance". I never really listened to the words before but last night I did and that did it, heavy tears.

:'(

I decided about 2 yrs. out to get myself back on track, together, it was time.  I was working out on a machine at the Y, and this comes up on my playlist.  I have heard this song since a child as me and childhood BFF would raid her older brothers' records and listen.  BUT I NEVER HEARD IT LIKE THIS.  I am boo hooing like crazy while working out, then.  Love the Dixie Chicks version, too, and will see them Aug. 17!  But man, hit me like a brick.

Landslide

Fleetwood Mac

I took my love and I took it down

I climbed a mountain and I turned around

And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills

Well, the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love

Can the child within my heart rise above

Can I sail through the changing ocean tides

Can I handle the seasons of my life

Uh uh, uh uh, uh uh, oh

Well, I've been afraid of changin'

'Cause I've built my life around you

But time makes you bolder

Children get older

And I'm getting older too

Well

Well, I've been afraid of changin'

'Cause I've built my life around you

But time makes you bolder

Children get older

And I'm getting older too

Well, I'm getting older too

My apologies if this has been posted before. The holidays seem so different now without my husband's larger than life presence. This struck me several times over the past two weeks. This song's lyrics capture how I've been feeling.

You should be here for events big and small, Baby. I'm making the most I can of my life without you, but this feeling that you should be here never leaves me. I don't think it ever will. I'm fine with that. I still love you, T!

Yes! agree with this one! Love this song (but wish I didn't have to).
