Misericordia
Tomorrow, it would have been my 32nd wedding anniversary. My husband, Jim, died just before our 17th anniversary. Soon, I will have been his widow longer than his wife. I was was lucky enough to find love again and while we didn’t marry, we were committed, lived together, and blended our lives and families. In September, he will have been gone as long as we lived together. I am so grateful to have loved and been loved so well, but I feel like I was meant to grow old alone. Love2fish
Thank you for your story Donna. After losing my second I am as overwhelmed with gratitude as I am with grief.
Misericordia
Thanks for responding. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted, but I’ve been going through a rough spell. It’s good to talk with someone who knows how it all is. Donna
Love2fish
The first time brought me to a place of understanding about love that made the second time magical. I found a goddess. I don't think I could have met her when I was young. I would not have had the wisdom to see her for what she truly was. I am lucky and grateful that I had both experiences.
