There's an amazing speech by Bobby Kennedy that he made the night Martin Luther King was assassinated. It's worth hunting down for its raw beauty and power. In it he quoted Aeschylus.

 

"Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget

falls drop by drop upon the heart

until, in our own despair, against our will,

comes wisdom through the awful grace of God."
