  1. I am sorry you are feeling this way.

Not sure if this will be helpful..I hope it is ... Fear has always been my constant companion but I have tired of it companionship.  Practicing meditation has helped to ease my anxiety.  I started small..5 min ...now I start my day with a 20 min of meditating.  Also constantly reminding myself that thoughts are things... Keeping a positive focus, finding the good, looking for the good.  I try to sweep negative, fearful thoughts from my mind as soon as I 'go there'. And I have this quote posted around my house to keep me in the present "when you release expectations, you are free to enjoy things for what they are instead of what you think they should be".  It is a daily challenge for me and I am really awful at this some days and unlike you I do not have the addition responsibilities of  a little one that depends on me. My daughter is grown and out on her own. Always in the back of my mind is the realization  that i have survived what i thought i could never... Losing my DH..my soul mate.

Although i do not 'know' you, from reading your posts i do see an incredibly strong, kind, accomplished resilient woman.  Sending a hug and a high five for keepin on keepin on.

  2. So sorry that you have had to endure so much this week. It is during a run like this that you just want to stand up and shout out to the Universe "Really!!???"  Wishing you peaceful days ahead.

I want to add that  It was so great to read about the good results you received in Texas.

  3. Sorry that you had to part with the RV- in our minds we know it is just a thing, just stuff- but it was their stuff- and  sometimes parting with items that were theirs is so so difficult.  I am having the same issue with tools.  Nice to hear that the new owner is going to fix it up and get it on the road- wishing you a peaceful evening-

  4. Mark I am so sorry for your loss.  A loss so sudden, so shocking. My husband too passed unexpectedly.  The bottom of our worlds dropped out with the death of our spouse.  How to piece back together your life while grieving the loss of your spouse? Just take one day at a time. When I would think long term, think about the future, I would feel overwhelmed.  Keeping my time horizon short helped me.  The grief, the crying is exhausting.  Please be easy with yourself. Just do what really needs to be done- caring for your precious baby, making sure you drink, eat and get some rest. The rest can wait. When people offer help, accept it. Do read 'suggestions for the newly widowed' posted in the 1 day to 6 month section on this board.  This is wonderful community of people with kind hearts, people who know what you are going through.  Please read, post, vent.  Wishing you some peace today.

  5. Stephaniem86 I am so sorry that you are here but so glad that you found this wonderful board.  Please be easy with yourself.  Grief is so exhausting.  Just do what needs to get done - self care and taking care of your children. When others offer help, accept it.  Drink plenty of water, rest when you can- sleep can be so elusive.  I am sorry that your pastor said something so upsetting to you. My personal belief is that when I pass I will reunited with my husband and he will know me as his wife.  I think Justin described it very nicely- "it will be more of a pure love and intelligence".  Wishing you and your children some peace today.  Keep coming here to post, to read.  This is a wonderful, caring community of great people who understand what you are going through.

  6. Thank you for this thread!  I am coming out of my winter slumber - basically total hibernation, zero activity level.  Committed to walking four days a week for an hour a day.  Thank you all for your inspiration.  Wishing you success in achieving your goals.
