Dragging my feet

Its been over three years now and I still have unresolved paperwork issues, some of them small and some of them significant.  I don't know why I'm dragging feet on these things.  I apply for grants that require enormous investments of time and mental energy; I applied for promotion which required me to work nights for two months to put the portfolio together.  Yet I cannot seem to resolve some of this investment, pension, 529 stuff.  Can I hire someone to do it for me?  What would that person be called?  Its is fairly clear now that I'm not going to do it myself and there are now reasons it needs to be resolved in the short term.  Advice?  I'm useless when it comes to financial things; all I know is "don't spend money and you'll be fine."  But clearly, I need some help on this one.

I would say a financial advisor should be able to help you.  That is what my DH did for a living and his sister was his partner, she has been such a huge help to me.  There was still plenty of things I had to handle because a lot of things they needed to speak to me directly and the paperwork etc but she took care of what she could and told me what I needed to do about the rest.  DH knew that I am way more conservative when it comes to money than he was so he spoke to her when he knew he was terminal to make sure she steered me in more conservative directions than she might normally.

I have to admit though that I still had his name on a lot of things, like cable and phone, when I moved last summer and it caused some headaches during an already stressful time.  I tend to put things off way longer than I should so I understand dragging your feet on things outside your comfort zone.

Oh man, there are so many accounts, I have no idea what they even are. I really need a personal assistant. I have never been good at the daily business of life in that way. It's just too hard to stay on top of it. Now that it's just me it's impossible. Which reminds me, I've got to start getting my tax shit together. It's going to be an absolute nightmare this year, with two jobs in two different states, a rental property, a new house purchase. AGHHHHHH!!!!!
