pamtxmom
I'm taking Magnesium supplements to help me sleep, but once I wake up early, I can't fall back to sleep. I am missing my husband's physical presence and cuddling. Has anyone bought a body pillow to sleep with to help?
BrokenHeart2
PTM, I have. It helps a bit because I was so used to throwing my leg over DH and putting my arm around him. anything that helps even a bit is good. Hugs
Jess
I got one too and it really helped me with getting some sleep. Honestly, sleep was a mess for me for many months, so anything like this that may help was worth it to me to try.
Julester3
I didn't buy a body pillow but I added an insane amount of pillows on the bed. I also sleep on his side of the bed so I don't get panic attacks when my arm goes to his side and I find it empty. Just trying to protect my sub-conscience from sabotaging my calm state when I am sleeping.
MR
I am having the same problem but will try Magnesium if that helps. I am only able to sleep 4-5 hours but do get sound sleep during that time but after that just tossing around in the bed.
Laura1612
As I am only four days out, my sister has been sleeping with me. However, we pulled down my large stuffed dog I had as a child and I have been using that as a body pillow. I suspect I will for a long time. TornApart
My psychologist at the time recommended that I buy a sheep skin to replicate the one I had in my childhood. I would drape that over a pillow and stroke it. The texture was soothing and gave warmth and comfort. Strange and may not help everyone, but I wasn't sleeping at all without serious prescription drugs, so I was willing to try all crazy sounding ideas.
