So sorry for your loss. I also lost both my parents, my dad 28 years ago and my mom 5 years ago. Now I lost my husband last week. People have said to me “why do you have such a hard life?” which is the opposite of comforting. While settling everything is a painful process, it’s also distracting and maybe that’s good. I’m finding that dealing with the estate issues for my husband is easier than facing the actual loss.
