  1. We fixed the world, legalized pot, eliminated world hunger/child poverty/misogyny and exchanged everything we knew about Clothing Optional/Naturists beaches all over this planet... and of course, the WidowWalk and how much is sucks and how we are changed forever.

    lmao  ;D

Next time, you bring the pot cookies and we get naked at Playalinda.  :)

  2. My youngest was 18 when I seriously considered dating again. It would not have been possible for me to date six years earlier when we lost her mom. I have respect for those who have the time and energy for multi-tasking. All kids a different but 18 and 20 seem old enough to not need constant attention.

  3.

I honestly think if my kids were grown and gone I would have been much more receptive to falling in love and remarrying early. But my mind and heart have not been there to go after that if that makes sense.

Good point. My youngest was 12 and in the fog of puberty. AND a girl.  :o

  4. I have a friend who loves her husband dearly, but when the subject of widowhood came up, she said she doubted she'd make the commitment again.  I have a feeling in my gut that if one wanted children, having that commitment from one's partner is more important.  Post-menopausal  widows don't have that concern..

I feel the same. What's the point when you're an old fart like me? However, I guess I could marry a younger woman and start another family.  :)

  5. My older sister lives mostly by herself for now. They sold their house and  bought another in a 55 plus community about a two hour drive from his job, after her retirement a couple of years ago. He retires from teaching in June and will join her full time. He rents a small apartment close to his work. They've been married since 1978.
