RyanAmysMom Posted February 21, 2017 Share Posted February 21, 2017 So, my husband passed away 19 months ago. Well, last night my dad was taken to the hospital. When my husband passed away, it was my dad that was there with me. Last night was the first time dad and I had been in an e.r. since then..... it was surprisingly difficult, and I hadn't anticipated the flood of memories..... and pain, and depression.... and trauma.... tybec Posted February 22, 2017 Share Posted February 22, 2017 I am so sorry. I understand. I had a gall bladder attack 9 months after DH died, and ended up in the ER. Alone. Dealing with grief by itself is one thing, but having such a powerful trigger, and being worried about my dad at the same time was exhausting. I just pray he gets to come home tomorrow....
