I wish I had this gem sooner as a response to well meaning people.  I don't feel as much anger anymore towards people who serve up platitudes, I realize it is their desire to say something helpful and a lack of experience of what may actually be helpful. To be able to gently say this to someone who is trying to make sense of tragedy is helpful.
