why not ?

Is there such a book ?

I admit now more than ever I have given up on virtually all other ways to describe how awkward life is,

To be widowed.

 

Friends, family, dating, recouping, and virtually every other aspect to try to act like a happy person, I once saw myself as.

Anyone else feel these things ?

Or is it just amnesia ?

I agree.  I thought it would get "less awkward" but so far that hasn't happened for me.  And it's in all areas of my life as you named.

I don't even try explaining it to people who don't get it. It is what it is and I just keep hoping for better days ahead.....for all of us!

Oh yes.  Especially when they do the head tilt. Ugh I just want to say STFU. I don't though, I just politely walk away. DH was awesome at walking away and leaving them with me.  Grrr. I've learned to politely walk away.

I remember desperately looking for something that would help that I could read

closest thing I got was the book "I am grieving as fast as I can"

but that covered the basic ...not the true gut wrenching feelings and true stories from the heart 

the search brought me to here (well the old board first)

cant tell you how much it has saved me
