  1. I could have written the same post, Trying. It's so hard being the only one invested in our kids. In the end, we're the only one's who see our kids day in and day out and know who they really are! It's been over eight years and as time goes on, that's my biggest thing that I MISS MOST. My daughter leaves for college in a couple of weeks...this thing about being responsible for every single decision, making every single phone call, dotting every I and crossing every T...it's just overwhelming.
  2. Prayers, prayers, and more prayers for you...I'm thinking of you.
  3. Yes, yes, yes...all the time. When I realize I have clothes from before, I'm not sure if I should get rid of them or be happy that they still fit!
  4. Can't remember exactly when I took my rings off...but I think it was around 4 years, and I'm 8 years out now. Looks like I need to get my Red Sox tickets...and soon! Have fun next week.
  5. I am beyond active grieving but miss having someone to talk to about our kids (especially as my daughter prepares for high school graduation and going to college). I miss having him come up from behind and hugging me. I miss him making me coffee in the morning and us having our morning chats before the kids got up. There's so much I miss...adult conversation with someone who knows my daily life...and cares enough to talk about it...that's the big one!
  6. Oh, I get this. From the holiday decoration that I never put away the Christmas before (because he said he liked it and not to put it away)...that was 2007...I've still never put it away, although I've moved it around to a few different spots in the house. The open bottle of ginger ale that sat on the counter until the mold started forming...I think that was about 4 years. Then the moccasins he left kicked off in in a corner...I cleaned around them for years. I had memory quilts/pillows made out of some clothes (which my kids thought was awful)...how dare I have his clothes cut up? What I love is that my son takes so much pride in wearing Dad's clothes...whether it's a baseball cap, a tie, a sweatshirt, or a suit...melts my heart!
