Justin
Please don't make me go. Is a travel mug with wine in it acceptable? Uggggggggghhhhhhhh. Yes... but some hot coffee with a splash or rum or Kahlua might keep you warmer!
Guest TooSoon
Only parent there with a mug of wine and without a spouse....could have called that hours prior. But my kid was delighted to be with her pals and that's the only thing that matters. PS - wine doesn't taste very good in a travel mug. FYI. MeAndTheKids
I felt your pain for many years; even though DH was alive he was almost always working that time of year. When my daughter was young we used to go with her friend and the friend's parents (with their kids) and trick or treating was followed by an after party (fortunately, including wine ) After a few years of this one of the men decided I must have a (female) partner and not a 'real' husband or he would have surfaced by then and pulled me aside to tell me it was really ok if I wanted to bring her.
