I thought every widow would be enthralled by a story about widowhood and champagne, but only one person replied. It turned out That the one person who replied is also a widowed nerdy historian who likes champagne.....and now, more than two years later, we are sitting here on the sofa in Liverpool reminiscing about the bottles of Veuve Cliquot that we've enjoyed together in New York City, Philadelphia, and here in England. But adp and TooSoon, I think I like your story better! I hope you did get your hands on a bottle. And in related news, on the season premiere of Downtown Abbey, several bottles of Veuve were brought of from the cellar and popped open to celebrate good news.
