I hate the fact that Ywbb died, but I love how the new board has brought so many familiar names to the surface! I am not going to try to name them, as I would be afraid of missing one, and causing someone to feel slighted. However, please post when you can, as the wisdom of the elder wids are what saved me early on as well.

Yes, your cheerleaders are here!! I hope all went well! I never interviewed for my job, which now requires a bachelors, and me with my associates, back when I was hired you passed tests, and got the job. Prior to that, I was in the restaurant business as a waitron and bartender. Didn't really interview then either, just had to be perky, young, and cute. My job is no longer stable, and learning interviewing skills at 47 scares the shit out of me!!

This is not the first time I have seen your post of goodies for your coworkers ha ha!!! Kind yet evil all at the same time ha ha! Recently a large number of people have lost their low income benefits for residential phone service. The program used to be a straight shot and painless process. However, with cell phones becoming main stream, there is assistance for that as well, and you can have one OR the other. This assistance has been around since the 30's, so please don't let this start a political up roar!! With this recent influx of people dropped, it has caused a major backlog in a process that went from taking minutes to resolve, will now take 8 weeks (new norm is 3 weeks) Depending on the state, this can mean an increase of $10-25 per month increase. Penny's to many, but drastic increase to a lot of extremely tight budgets. I would be fulfilling my job requirements by advising them of the guidelines and getting them off my line. However, to me they are just as, if not more important than our customers that spend on average $175 per mo. Average bill of this type of customer is $3.00-25.00 per month. I follow up each and everyone, confirming a time I can call them back and let them know the status of their benefit. Guide them thru the difficult new process, as most of these customers are our elderly. Something our loved ones never got to be.

Big Guy had a history of hep. C, but his death certificate says heart attack. He died July 1 of 2011, January 2011 his heart was in champion mode....passed with flying colors EVERY heart test known to man. I knew that I was going to loose him, but I figured IMHO I had 10-15 years. Who knew!!! Fuck heart attacks!!!!

TooSoon I am blushing...love our little get togethers!!!! Still have to get M and the neighbor together!! Trust me they will get along ha ha! I was terrified going to my first bago, it was dinner with about 8 wids. I was about 4 mo out, and came pretty close to making an about face in the parking lot. I am so glad I didn't!! Bago Diva gave me the best widda hug EVER! Since then I been to many bogos, and hosted a few. There is nothing like laughing, and crying all in the span if 2 minutes, and everyone gets it!!!! Go if you can, you will not regret it!!
