I think the 'what if ' phase is our way of process their death. Even though we know they are gone it's difficult (impossible ) to accept. Your quick response saved your son. Be kind to yourself.

wish I didn't have a need to join here

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope the comfort and support you find here helps you. Just take things one day at a time. -
Nothing wrong with that. Enjoy the ride!

I thought I would bump this since it's the beginning of the new year. Let's keep each other motivated! !

Be present. Live life with a purpose. Be consistent. Exercise 6 days a week. Increase lean proteins and fibrous carbs. Decrease starchy and simple carbs. Donate whole blood at least 3 times, and platelets once. Participate in an ALS walk. Start college courses. Finish house projects.

When he told you "I love you" did you say it back to him? Maybe your response confused him. It should just happen naturally. I would try not to overthink it to much. It sounds like you both see your relationship growing into something more.

The fact that he asked says a lot about his character. It's not silly to have those thoughts. It's normal. I was just discussing with a friend if I should put the framed wedding photo that sits on my nightstand away if my guy friend stays with me tomorrow. I'm still debating.

What are everyone's plans for this evening? Those of us without plans can party together here!! I had plans for tonight, but had to reschedule for tomorrow instead. My daughters, and my date's daughter, wanted us to stay home with them this evening. Kids make dating interesting, don't they?

Just remember that she probably has the same thoughts as you. I know I do! I think it really depends on where you live as to different date ideas. Check out events in your area. Maybe suggest getting together and ask her what she would like to do. -
1. Packed up Christmas decorations. 2. Cleaned house, worked on laundry. 3. Made a birthday dinner and dessert for my 14yo daughter. We're meeting family at the restaurant of her choice on her birthday, the 29th. Icy roads, so we were stuck at home today.

Everyone is welcome to join in Danidee! No workout today. I'm decreasing starchy and simple carbs, and increasing fibrous carbs and protein. I can already see a decrease in bloating.

It will happen Jen. When you're truly ready.

I'm wondering if having sex was a bad idea. It just makes me want it more.

Could be a blessing in disguise. Maybe Evan will ask you out on an official date. My daughters have put me on the spot a few times too. Yesterday, thankfully, my youngest made her comment to just me. We spent the day with a family friend. She said, "I really like Bob. He talks and thinks just like dad." I'm not surprised. They were best friends.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

1. Went to church with my daughters and in-laws. Since it was the last Sunday of the year our pastor always reflects on what our church accomplished throughout the year . The worship music was beautiful. 2. After church we all went to see Daddy's Home. Good movie! The ending was perfect. 3. After the movie we went to a local Mexican restaurant for a late lunch. Fun day! 4. I'll add another. I've been texting with a guy friend since we got home.

I dropped by a friend's house to deliver a meal, baked goods, and gift cards. I had plans to eat dinner with my in-laws afterwards, so I invited him to go along. He was Phil's best friend from grade school through high school. He's going through a rough time. Recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma, work related accident that caused him to have several facial reconstructive surgeries before that, and a divorce. His wife left after his last reconstructive surgery. It was a nice visit. After I took him home I went to the gym.

Christmas break is cramping my style! I finally went to the gym after not going for a week. 200 abs, back, biceps, and cardio. Felt good!

My daughters don't have an income, so no they don't buy for me. Occasionally my mother in-law will take them shopping. My youngest daughter 8 always makes me a gift. This year she colored a picture of four butterflies. They represented the four of us. Each one was colored in our favorite colors. Very thoughtful!

I've been in my pj's all day. My morning started at 9 am when my 8yo daughter woke me up. Then she went on to wake up her two older sisters. We ate breakfast and then opened our gifts. After lunch my in-laws came over with more gifts. Since they left we've been doing laundry, cleaning, watching TV, and playing with our new toys. Lazy day!

Not what I expected, but felt amazing to be with a man again.

1. Christmas program at church for the kids 11 and under. So sweet! It was my day to volunteer in the 2nd and 3rd graders room. I escorted the kids to the stage in the sanctuary. Then helped give their lesson afterwards. My daughter looks forward to me being in her room. 2. Talked to a friend I haven't talked to in awhile. Nice catching up with him. 3. Best part of my day was hearing another friend tell me his cancer cell count was really low. He has multiple myeloma. He's eager to get through his next round of chemo. I'm getting together a care package for him from multiple friends that I plan on delivering this week. People are making meals to freeze, sweets, a cheese ball, dips, and I'm going to pick up some gift cards. He's a great guy and was my husbands best friend in school, 2nd grade through senior year. He's been through a lot. Before being diagnosed he had a work related accident, several reconstructive surgeries, and then a divorce. His wife left when he was diagnosed.
