  7. I agree the 6 month mark is so tough . I feel sometimes like its a prison and in my head I have big X's to mark the days hoping that each day will be the day I am out But its seems like we have all been given a life sentence and the days are never ending I wish for you(and all of us) some days of not feeling like we are drowning and not just grasping for air but actually breathing on our own terms sending a tight hug your way

Jess - I really feel for you Hard enough to go through this but also not having him with you to help has got to be such an emotional roller coaster but a wise women once quoted On particularly rough days when I am sure I can't endure, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far is 100 % and that's pretty good cant tell you often I think of this quote you have and it gets me through the next few rough minutes/days take care
  10. You're not whining at all , sorry the time away ended quickly with all the crap of doing things by ourselves I planned my runaway a few months after Don died It was just me and my dog overlooking the ocean (it was winter but didn't matter ) It was such a good time to be away from the house , chores , bill paying and thinking then friends a month after that took me overnight to a casino , not my thing normally but I had a nice time with laughing and just getting away from all the grief I now will try and plan a few more distractions of get away's
  11. I am around the 6 month mark and you are so right about everything so odd to think I would prefer the auto pilot and fog of the beginning first months but i miss the 'denial' part that seemed to shelter my heart thanks for writing this

  22. I so remember this feeling. Still have it but I am trying to take, as they say, one day at a time I mostly feel loss of the other part of me that was him, if that makes sense always felt like a whole happy person when we were together and now constantly feel like something is always missing But I do have good days and you will also but its so comforting to have a place like this to talk about the bad days
  23. HI sounds like a great idea I am in if it works
  24. Just stumbled upon this one His Name was Don. we met when I was 22 and he was 25 , both pretty wild at the time but the moment we met that was it! over the next 27 years we made a wonderful life together. He was the love of a lifetime and we never took that for granted We always had fun together and mostly when it was just the two of us. He was a jack of all trades and built me a beautiful house with amazing gardens outside. He was the kind of guy you wanted on your side He was fiercely loyal to his friends and family but it was an exclusive club I am happy to have been a member of that club thanks for letting me say his name and share his life
  25. happy anniversary and its a good day to remember all the great times together and it sounds like you had that Hope this stays a good day take care
