OSAAT
I am on my phone and it sucks, so I can't post a link. Just Breathe by Pearl Jam is beautiful. I actually learned about it from a member of YWBB. I have more, but will have to think about a few, and hopefully I will be at a computer so I can post links. MrsT85
Another user (I'm so sorry I don't remember who so I could give credit) shared this song on a thread on YWBB and I absolutely adore it. The video is also wonderfully heartbreaking - I was trying to describe it to New Guy a few weeks ago and started crying from just talking about it. smabify
Way too many to name... Unchained melody by the righteous brothers was the last to make me cry, though everybody hurts (REM) is up there. Fare thee well love (Rankin family), the dance (Garth brooks) fix you (coldplay), always on my mind (Willie nelson) and many many more. Not to mention all the songs from musicals that could be on this list

DansSoulmate
Sam Smith with John Legend, Lay Me Down: Yes, I do, I believe That one day I will be Where I was right there Right next to you And it's hard The days just seems so dark The moon, the stars Are nothing without you Your touch, your skin Where do I begin? No words can explain The way I'm missing you Deny this emptiness This hole that I'm inside These tears They tell their own story
Carey
"See You Again" , Carrie Underwood When he left for Saudi I heard this and had him watch the video while he was there; who knew the meaning it would eventually come to have, when it was played at his funeral :*(
rooshy
Fiddler On The Roof, "Sunrise, Sunset" I know it might seem a little odd as this song's about watching your children grow up, but it makes me sad in the fact my boys are growing up without their dad. Awesome play, however!
DansSoulmate
So, I've been listening to the Disney radio channel today because it brings back good memories of when my girls were little. And, who knew a song from Pocahontas, "Where Do I Go From Here", would sum up what I've been thinking today But where do I go from here? So many voices ringing in my ear Which is the voice that I was meant to hear? How will I know? Where do I go from here? My world has changed and so have I I've learned to choose And even learned to say goodbye The path ahead's so hard to see It winds and bends but where it ends Depends on only me In my heart I don't feel part of so much I've known Now it seems it's time to start, A new life on my own
robunknown
Adele's version of "Love Song" I tagged her on a link to it on facebook while she was alive, and she re-iterated some of the lyrics in the comments. So now if it comes on I lose it.
MrsT85
"God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys I may not always love you But long as there are stars above you You never need to doubt it I'll make you so sure about it God only knows what I'd be without you If you should ever leave me Though life would still go on, believe me The world could show nothing to me So what good would livin' do me God only knows what I'd be without you God only knows what I'd be without you (repeat verse 2) If you should ever leave me Though life would still go on, believe me The world could show nothing to me So what good would livin' do me God only knows what I'd be without you (repeat to fade) ----------------- This is one of those songs I've known for years that gained an entirely new facet after I lost Tim. The lines "If you should ever leave me/Though life would still go on, believe me/The world could show nothing to me/So what good would livin' do me" - I think most of us can relate. No, our lives (sometimes much to our surprise) didn't stop after they died. But wow, did the world lose all of its color, all of its joy. Life goes on, but why? I'm not a believer, but when they repeat (layered with such beautiful harmonies) "God only knows what I'd be without you..." I lose it a little bit, still. When he was alive and we'd talk about the song, it was such a wonderfully hypothetical question. But now I cry, because now I know :'(
tk74
This is currently a song I listen to over and over... and over. All That I Have Sown - Bebo Norman I believe when they put her in the ground I think they buried part of me Because I've been searching, I've been looking all around But I cannot find the heart of me, the heart of me So I'll put my fingers in this soil upon her grave And I will plant for her a garden And every flower, a reminder of her face Will grow up graceful as a pardon And all that grows is her story told As life unfolds here before us The peace I've found in this broken ground I can see her in the harvest...of all that I have sown Long before I was covered up in gray Before the old had bent my bones We grew our children in the red Georgia clay They were our garden and our home And all that grows is our story told As life unfolds here before The peace we found in that broken ground I can see them in the harvest...of all that I have sown And when my life is done I pray the kingdom come And take me to Glory It's living inside me It was planted like a seed All to tell a story I believe when they put me in the ground There will remain a part of me Because I've been searching and the joy that I have found Is living in my family...it's all that I have sown
